The restaurant, which is called "Le Baeuf", opened earlier this month in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The owner of the restaurant is a self-proclaimed "meat lover" who wanted to create a unique dining experience for his guests.

The platter is made up of six different types of cold meats, including duck liver pate, pork terrine, beef rilletes, smoked salmon, gravlax, and trout mousse. It also includes accompaniments such as cornichons, house-made breads and mustards.

Guests can order the platter as an individual dish or as part of a larger feast. The menu also features a variety of French dishes such as steak frites and onion soup.

Le Baeuf is open for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm.

Make your own cold mixed meat salad!

What you'll need:

  • Cold cuts of meat (such as ham, turkey, chicken, or beef)
  • Salad greens (lettuce, spinach, kale, chard, etc.)
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
  • A variety of dressings or sauces (homemade or store-bought)

How to make it:

  1. Choose your meats and vegetables. You can use any cold cuts of meat you like in this recipe. For the vegetables, choose your favorites or whatever is in season.

  2. Wash and chop the salad greens. If you're using a heartier green like kale or chard, you'll want to chop it into smaller pieces.

  3. Cube the meat and vegetables. For smaller pieces, use a sharp knife to cube the meat and vegetables evenly. If you're using larger pieces of meat or vegetables, you can just chop them into bite-sized pieces.

  4. Assemble the salad! In a large bowl, combine the salad greens with the meat and vegetables. Add your favorite dressings or sauces and enjoy!
